Year 10

I would definitely recommend this to others. As me and my friends have often found similar issues with tutoring such as lack of student engagement and feeling like a lecture. Whereas at W² has a very unique teaching style which caters to not necessarily every person but people who learn in a similar style as myself. Rather than the lessons feeling like a YouTube lecture it allows me to understand why a formula or theorem works, not just "it works".

The openness of the classroom allows engagement and questions, which is what is crucial for learning and succeeding.

Year 12

It really helped me realise how I actually lacked understanding in many concepts and that revision and further study in those topics are required. The harder questions that we were bombarded with definitely were very challenging but the solutions often demanded such rigour and conceptual understanding that it reframed how I thought about answering questions, providing insight into the importance of seemingly pedantic things. Also the revision overall was very helpful, a great refresher, especially the tips and tricks.

Year 12

Inviting peers to this tutoring service, especially those in my class, invites friendly competition and boosts the cohort overall. Also I want what's best for other dedicated students, so I'd recommend the best maths tutoring centre I know.

Year 12

It has taught me how to approach a question not only methodically but also to build a conceptual understanding of the entire concept. The exam also allowed me to identify my weaknesses and how to improve my exam skills and fill in any conceptual gaps in my knowledge even those I thought I had mastered in school. I also appreciated the rigorous proofs we do in class instead of the rote-learning of formulas which has led to gaps in my conceptual understanding of the Ext 1 course.

Year 12

I found that some of my peers who have been rote-learning formulas and are currently in the Ext 1 course should instead try and build a conceptual understanding of mathematics and should not just purely learn concepts for the sake of gaining marks in exams.

Year 12

People who are highly committed in achieving the highest scores in mathematics should come here despite its location (I live 1 hour away). With many high-achievers (shoutout Tyson) produced by the most overqualified tutors, I believe its price is very worth every penny. I also enjoy the classmates around me, as we eat out together during break, but also invites a competitive atmosphere as soon as class starts. Thank you for having me.

Year 12

It has, as reviewing a lot of the theory taught over Y12 T4 was built upon to a more advanced level, where William has explained all the intricacies of key concepts well.

The handouts also serve as a useful tool that compacts lots of useful information and questions together for future use. A lot of the tips have been useful.

Further, learning indirectly how to present and prove key findings for complex numbers (e.g. cube roots of unity) will certainly be helpful for future tests.

Year 12

The tutoring helps to refine and push the skills of dedicated students another level further through providing additional conceptual understanding beyond what schools or textbooks could ever do.

Hence, students are able to fully understand the intricacies of these concepts, which makes them more confident for exams (both internal and external).

Given that the tutors probably have done well in Maths, they are able to pass on the strategies they used to do well.

Year 10

The Holiday Accelerator has helped me significantly in maths, as William would help me explore faster and more efficient ways to solve basic math problems. This course helped me further improve my fundamentals and made me realise the room for improvement. I really enjoyed this course as it made me realise there's more to maths than my conceptual understanding, as I learnt the origin of how mathematicians would solve problems, e.g. completing the square and the quadratic formula. Overall, this program has helped me significantly.

Year 10

I would recommend this tutoring centre to other students as this place helps in mastering your fundamentals and explore different and faster exam techniques. However, this place requires lots of engagement and the passion for maths as W² helps with foundational maths, and understanding why we use certain formulas, it significantly shows your progress and results in the long term.

Year 12

The Holiday Accelerator course provided a very coherent and clear approach to the tougher concepts in complex numbers. The techniques and questions taught can be used in the tougher exams and will help with critical thinking when solving problems.

Prior to the course, I did not know, or was not confident in, solving harder complex number questions, but the Accelerator questions helped me gain further insights. It was also good being in a classroom environment with other students from competitive schools.

Year 12

- Good source of questions for each topic/sub-topic, high order thinking and creative questions, that use content from other topics

- The handouts & worksheets were in a nice format that give summaries and problem-solving heuristics.

- Good teachers and mentors that explain things clearly.

Year 10

I would recommend it to my friends because some of them aren't doing very well at school and I feel like W² could really boost their scores and take them to a greater level of understanding in mathematics, also the way William taught has really allowed me to think of numerous solutions to solve a specific question, allowing me to be ready in case of a test, how to solve the question in the shortest quickest way possible that avoids long lines of working out. I think it was very helpful as it allows me to get a deeper knowledge and understanding of why the mathematical words and formulas work rather than just using the formula.

Year 10

I learnt new things such as rationalising cube roots and I also think Mr William is great at teaching which allows me to grasp some new concepts I've never seen before, which could be used later on at school. It also allowed me to get some math done before school. I also found it slightly challenging due to the difference of severity between school math and this math.

Year 11

William explained the trigonometry concepts really well and showed many different methods to achieve a particular result, which diversified the perspective of how I look at Trigonometry. This helps with my mathematics preparation by allowing me to look at maths differently and from different approaches, I can filter out the most easiest and efficient method to solve a problem.

Year 11

I think other dedicated students would appreciate the teaching style that William uses and it could really benefit the students' learning collectively.

Year 11

The course helped to reinforce topics, theory, and formulae I had already learnt to better prepare me for its stark relevancy in Year 11. The content was comprehensibly taught and the booklet questions were at the right level to not be tedious and overwhelmingly challenging, but still required an in depth understanding and correct application of the covered theory.

Year 12

I think the Holiday Accelerator has helped me a lot as it reconsolidated all my knowledge on previous topics. The content taught was also pretty hard, so it helped me strengthen my knowledge and fill any concept gaps. It was helpful because the harder questions were challenging and were built on stuff I previously learned.

Year 12

Yes, I would recommend it to other people as the holiday accelerator benefits individuals who want to consolidate and strengthen their knowledge on certain math topics. The questions were kind of hard, and with the focus on conceptual learning, it will benefit those dedicated students a lot, especially if they want to get better.

Year 12

The Holiday Accelerator very quickly covered lots of content in great depth, especially with very difficult exam-style problems. It has helped in furthering my understanding of integration, and the techniques required to succeed.

Year 12

The Accelerator is highly effective at both consolidating and learning content, with the style of teaching and conceptual focus a major reason. The test at the end similarly forced me to learn and get better.

Year 11

I found it to be helpful especially understanding a weak topic that I'd struggle with in school easily and in depth with 3 hours (per lesson) where I also have challenging problems to revise on these topics other than school material. Concluding my satisfaction with this tutor, I believe many other dedicated students will enjoy and succeed with this tutoring.

Year 12

Having prior knowledge in both integration and vectors, W² Edu has certainly tested my knowledge on fundamentals and concepts, which are the building blocks of learning. Will has certainly left my head in a daze (good way) to question our intuition and insight.

Year 12

Will explains in depth about common misunderstandings and helps clarify questions at a fundamental level, allowing us to know the scaffold for answering hard questions.

Year 10

The Holiday Accelerator helped because it was explained with a lot of detail and I was learning things I didn't know before I came here. Those things included quadratics in general and everything under quadratics. When I get back to school, I would be able to breeze through all the algebra parts because of this Holiday Accelerator program.

Year 10

The course caters to different skill levels in mathematics and our teacher made a clear effort to ensure everything was communicated effectively.

Year 10

It has definitely helped because it has offered me insight into more about maths and has allowed me to hone my skills and develop new ones and learn new things. I hope to continue with these classes throughout the school year because of how much this holiday class has helped me.

Year 12

This program was beneficial in that it allowed me to learn certain concepts ahead of school, however it was paced rather fast and at times I had difficulty keeping up. I struggled in the placement test as I didn't revise the content from previous days of the program, and hence was unable to recall and utilise the theory we learned. Overall, I found the program was able to give me a clear idea as to which areas of maths, and integration in particular, that I needed to dedicate more time and effort toward. Although, I find your teaching style and methods have allowed me to gain a deeper conceptual understanding in the covered areas.

Year 12

I think the environment and facilities enable clear focus on the work without distractions and the booklets were a great addition to the learning experience.

Year 11

I think it did help with my mathematics preparation because the teacher explained in detail with the difficult question also made sure that we understand the process of the working out.

Year 11

I would recommend this tutoring service to other dedicated students as the teacher would really make sure on your understanding through class time.
